Once again, Derick Dillard has been caught breaking all the rules at home, and this time, he’s going against one of Jim Bob Duggar’s most serious rules.
For months, Derick, 28, has been an extremely controversial figure in the Duggar family, one that could force TLC to get rid of their popular show, Counting On.
According to The Hollywood Gossip, Derick has made no secret of his desire to use his newfound fame as a platform to voice his opinion on just about anything and everything.
Most recently, the father of two was slammed by fans after he attacked teenage I Am Jazz star Jazz Jennings for being transgender.
In his controversial tweets, Derick called being transgender an “oxymoron” and referred to Jazz in male pronouns.
"What an oxymoron... a 'reality' show which follows a non-reality. 'Transgender' is a myth. Gender is not fluid; it's ordained by God," Derick fired off in an angry tweet over the summer.
"I have nothing against him," Derick said of Jazz after fans attacked him for being cruel to a teenage girl.
At the time, Duggar insiders confessed that the family was starting to get worried that Derick’s behavior might prove to be the end of Counting On.
"They're probably not too long for TLC. My feeling is that they'll probably get axed soon because of this Jazz situation," a source revealed at the time. "He opened up a can of worms that he never, ever, ever should've cracked a lid on."
Then, earlier this week, Derick released cryptic tweets that suggested he might have cheated on his wife, Jill.
“He who commits adultery lacks sense; he who does it destroys himself," Derick tweeted earlier this week, adding: “Say 2 wisdom ‘U r my sister’& call insight your intimate friend, 2 keep u from the forbidden woman, from the adulteress w her smooth words."
Many fans took Derick’s words to be a confession, but his infidelity has yet to be confirmed by anybody in the Duggar family.
Now, Derick is back in the headlines yet again after he was reportedly accused of dancing and partying—two big red flags in the Duggar family.
"Had a blast getting to hang out with international friends at the international bonfire last night! #intlbonfire17 #internationalstudents #danceparty #southasianstyle," Derick wrote earlier this week.
Fans were absolutely shocked to learn that Derick had attended a dance party, especially since dancing is banned in the Duggar family.
“I thought they didn’t approve of dancing? Looks pretty wild,” commented one fan.
“I didn’t know you danced. I know Jim Bob has strict opinions about dancing and defrauding. Where is Jill?” remarked another.
