Farrah Abraham Claims 8-Year-Old Daughter Sophia Won't Allow Her To Talk To Certain People

Farrah Abraham claims she cannot attend her mother’s wedding because her daughter decided neither of them would be allowed to go. Keep reading for more details!

As far as Teen Mom relationships go, Farrah Abraham and her daughter, Sophia, probably have the strangest dynamic on the show.

For the most part, Farrah seems to have absolutely no idea that Sophia, 8, is her daughter—not her BFF.

As a mom, Farrah continues not to set any rules for Sophia, who at one point had her own Snapchat account, received hundreds of dollars from the tooth fairy, and seems to wear makeup on a regular basis.

In 2013, when Sophia was just 4 year old, Farrah confessed that she and her daughter were taking a “break” from one another.

“She has her own life and is doing her own thing, and I'm doing mine,” she said at the time.

Those comments were extremely bizarre, but what she’s saying now might really take the cake.

Farrah is now claiming that Sophia dictates who she is allowed to talk to, and who simply doesn’t make the cut.

The strange mother-daughter dynamic first popped up when Farrah said she wasn’t allowed to talk to her ex-boyfriend Simon Saran, because Sophia does not like him.

"I’m not allowed to talk to him because Sophia doesn’t like him," the Teen Mom OG star said.

The MTV star then went on to blame Sophia for her fractured relationship with her mother, Debra Danielsen.

"Sophia doesn’t really want a relationship with my mom but I’m still trying to make sure that she is around and keep that relationship is surviving and alive,” Farrah told E! News after it was announced that she would not be attending her own mother’s wedding.

“With my mom’s wedding right now it’s made Sophia not want to be around her. I’m kind of stuck in the middle trying to have everyone get along. Sophie is not approving of it but I am happy for [my mom] and supportive,” she added.

Farrah has said some pretty out-there things in interviews, but nothing is as heartbreaking as watching her blame her 8-year-old daughter for problems in her personal life.

"We just try to keep it cordial,” Farrah said of her relationship with her mother. “I think my daughter and I are having the times of our lives together right now."

Despite the apparent tension within their family, Debra reportedly continues to tag along on trips with her daughter and granddaughter.

The trio most recently visited New York City, where Sophia was walking in New York Fashion Week.
