No parent wants to imagine something as terrifying as their child being kidnapped, but in this day and age, it’s a possibility that they have to be prepared for.

That’s why Michelle O’Neal has decided to share this video of a little girl, believed to be her daughter, escaping from the tightening grip of zip ties.

“Could your kids escape if they were handcuffed with a zip tie? Teach them how to free themselves in less than a minute!” the Orlando, Florida mom captioned her helpful video, which has already been shared more than 31,000 times.

At the beginning of the unbelievable video, the young girl explains that she’s demonstrating how to get out of zip ties “in case you ever get kidnapped.”

The girl starts by leaning over and untying her shoes while bound with the zip ties.

She then uses her teeth to pull one of her shoe laces through the bottom of the zip tie, and does the same with the other shoe lace.

This makes it possible for the quick-thinking girl to tie her own shoe laces around the zip tie.

Last but not least, the young girl bends her knees and begins kicking from side to side, creating a perfect sawing motion that quickly cuts through the plastic zip ties.

According to the video, this ingenious maneuver can be done in 60 seconds or less, helping a kidnapped child escape from a dire situation quickly.

As of Tuesday afternoon, O’Neal’s potentially life-saving video has been viewed nearly 60 million times.
