Derick Dillard has gone rogue in the last couple of weeks, and it could cost the rest of the Duggar family their TLC cash cow, Counting On.
In the last two weeks, Derick has insulted a transgender reality star, angered TLC execs, and proven that he has no foreseeable intentions of holding down a real job.
But has he apologized for his behavior? Nope. In fact, he’s actually doubling down on his cruel comments.
According to The Hollywood Gossip, Derick is reiterating his unprovoked hatred for 16-year-old Jazz Jennings, an LGBTQ advocate who currently stars on the TLC reality show I Am Jazz.
Last week, the network released a promo for Jazz’s show, and Derick literally couldn’t stop himself from picking a fight with a teenage girl.
"What an oxymoron... a 'reality' show which follows a non-reality. 'Transgender' is a myth. Gender is not fluid; it's ordained by God," he tweeted.
"I want to be clear. I have nothing against him. I only have issue with the words and definitions being propagated here," he later added.
In a matter of seconds, Twitter users began slamming Derick, hitting him where it hurts by bringing up his shady missionary work.
"And at least she isn't pretending to be a missionary over seas leaching off donations and not providing an explanation of where they go," one user wrote.
"But then you may have to get a job instead of selling out your children on tv or scamming fans to give you money for your fake mission trip," another added.
"Maybe you should quit TLC then,” another person commented.
Others quickly pointed out that Derick is going to get himself in a lot of trouble for biting the hand that feeds him.
Though TLC quickly denounced Derick’s tweets, he has since decided to go back and attack Jazz again for no apparent reason.
"It seems truth is relative these days. So glad my God is the same yesterday, today, and forever! His word is always perfect! #Hebrews13," he tweeted earlier this week.
With Derick’s bad behavior worsening by the day, some critics say this loose cannon could turn out to be the final nail in the coffin for the Duggars, who are already walking a thin line at TLC.
"They're probably not too long for TLC. My feeling is that they'll probably get axed soon because of this Jazz situation," a source close to the family told The Hollywood Gossip exclusively.
