It looks like Kim Kardashian has had to jump on Twitter to defend herself a lot lately! Just a few days ago, the reality star and mother of two took to social media to share some sneak peeks of her Kids Supply clothing line, which she’s released in collaboration with her husband, rapper and fashion designer Kanye West.
In one of her Snapchat videos, fans and followers couldn’t help but notice two lines of a white, powdery looking substance on Kim’s table behind her. Immediately, people started sharing screenshots from her Snapchat video and accused the 36 year old of doing drugs.
Kim quickly jumped on Twitter to shut down the drug rumors. “I do not play with rumors like this so I'm gonna shut it down real quick. That's sugar from our candy mess from dylan's candy shop” she wrote.
While Kim K has definitely been caught up in online drama and false accusations many time, she never hesitates to defend herself and her family. Now, Twitter is going off on Kardashian again, but this time it’s for the way her daughter is dressed.
Kim stepped out with her daughter, North, who was wearing a peach-colored silk dress that appeared to have a corset wrapped around it, leaving viewers a bit disturbed. Kim Kardashian is known for being a supporter of waist trainers, the corset-like waist cincher that create a slimmer looking figure. Since North is just 4 years old, it’s easy to see why people would be troubled by such a young child wearing a corset.
However, Kim came to the dress and her daughter’s defense, explaining that the dress doesn’t have a traditional corset whatsoever.
“I would never put my daughter in a corset! It's a dress I bought that is a cotton fabric that laces up & looks like a corset! Just decoration” she wrote on Twitter. She posted a video of the dress, proving that no real corset was part of the design.
"This dress that I did not design, I actually bought, is not a corset. It's just fabric on the front that looks like a corset." she said.
While this may have put some parents at ease, it is Kim’s own Kids Supply clothing line that is still getting some heat. The reality mom shared some of the summer designs on Snapchat, leaving many parents concerned about the “skimpy” style.
"Since it's summer, we're going to do boys' swim trunks. North actually wanted to wear these today. We're also doing a girls' bathing suit in this neon orange-y color, in this velvety fabric. And how cute is this cute slip dress?" Kim says in the video.
People thought that the leopard print dress and velvet bikini were far too mature for children.
“Why is she selling a silk, leopard print dress with lace and a velvet bikini on her kids' line” one person wrote on Twitter.
What do you think of the summer pieces? Are they too risque for kids?
