So Awkward! Caitlyn Jenner Blasts Jimmy Kimmel For Mocking Her Transition — Will She Accept His Apology?

While appearing on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" Caitlyn Jenner called out host Jimmy Kimmel for initially mocking her transition. Read on for more details!

Caitlyn Jenner may be thinking about a run for public office, and she already has a few choice words for her critics.

In a noticeably awkward interview earlier this week, Jenner called out Jimmy Kimmel on his own show for initially mocking her transition.

It’s clear by this interview that Kimmel’s jabs really bothered Caitlyn, which is why she wanted a face-to-face apology.

Granted, everything Kimmel said about Caitlyn’s transition actually came about before it was officially announced that she was transgender.

As The Hollywood Gossip points out, Kimmel’s comments on Jenner’s transition can be likened to the whole world calling Amanda Bynes “crazy” before it was revealed that she really was struggling with mental illness.

Still, Caitlyn hung on to Kimmel’s words and decided it was time to confront him on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” earlier this week.

While discussing her new memoir, The Secrets of My Life, Jenner explained how she went about telling her children about her transition.

“I slowly went through and told all my children because it had been just hammered all over the media for the longest time,” she said. “In fact, guys like you making some jokes,” calling out the comedian.

Although Kimmel quickly began to apologize, he also pointed out that other comedians, like Dave Chapelle, poked fun at the former Olympian’s rapidly changing appearance because nobody really knew what was going on.

Kimmel added that at the time, he thought Jenner was “just vain.”

“We didn’t know what was happening, we thought you were just vain,” Kimmel joked. “We didn’t know what was going on. I’m sorry about that, by the way.”

“Now he’s going to apologize! But I accept your apology," Jenner replied.

Jenner also revealed that she had just appeared on “The Tonight Show,” where she also gave Jimmy Fallon a hard time about his jokes regarding her transition.

“I don’t know if you saw when I was on Jimmy Fallon,” she said. “I gave him a real hard time.”

Before the show ended, Kimmel switched gears and asked Jenner about her controversial political views. (She supported Donald Trump in the last election).

“I don’t agree with everything he’s doing, but I have always been — I’m older,” Jenner said. “I grew up in a country where you actually said the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag at school. I believe in limited government, I believe in the people of this nation — not government — and so, and that kind of makes me on the Republican side. And so, he was our candidate.”
