She Cut Sandwich Bread Into Circles And Lined A Cupcake Tin With It. What She Pours Inside? YUM!

Nagi from RecipeTin Eats put together a simple recipe to make for breakfast and it’s pretty genius.

The creation? She calls them quiche toast cups and they’re pretty magical.

“I love quiche, but I don’t usually have ready made pastry in stock, and it is even rarer that I attempt to make pastry,” Nagi wrote on her blog post about the recipe. “So this is my way of making mini quiches -- using toast cups made with sandwich bread.”

She started the recipe by using a large tin can to cut her bread into perfect little, crust-free circles.

Then, she used a pin roll to flatten the sandwich bread as much as possible.

After that, Nagi coated her cupcake tin with cooking spray and used the bread to line the bottom of each cup.

Next, Nagi put the bread-filled tin in the oven for a few minutes, which Nagi said is crucial to the recipe.

Once the bread has had enough time to toast a little bit, Nagi pull the tray back out and started filling each little cup with an egg mixture.

Her mixture consisted of bacon, onion, egg, milk, and cheese. You could add whatever your favorite egg additions are to that basic mix.

When the cups were filled with the ingredients, she then put the tray back in the oven right away.

“If you take too long between pouring the egg mixture into the toast cups and putting it in the oven, the egg will start soaking into the bread,” Nagi wrote.

After baking for about 15 minutes the little quiches should be golden brown and set.

She let them set for about five minutes, garnished them with herbs, and served them.

The little cups are so perfect, and it’s an easy version of an otherwise complicated breakfast.
