We've always loved Pillsbury Crescent Rolls. So when we saw that April from Mama Loves Food had made a dessert out of mini Crescent Rolls, we knew we had to try it. This 2-Ingredient Raspberry Dumpling recipe is not just adorable, but it's also incredibly simple to make, whether you want it for breakfast or dessert.
This little dish began as an experiment for April, but perhaps a testament to how simple and do-able this recipe is, she wrote, "Fortunately first time was the charm with this one - two ingredients and less than thirty minutes in the oven and we were digging into a delicious dish of raspberry dumplings!"
Here's how you can make it at home.
Preheat your oven to 375ºF.
Unroll 1 roll of Pillsbury Crescent Roll dough. Separate each triangle and then cut in half, length-wise. You should have 16 pieces!
Roll these smaller triangles into baby crescent rolls and set aside.
Open 1 can of raspberry pie filling, then pour half the can into the bottom of a 9" x 9" baking dish. Place all the crescent rolls on top, then top them all with the remaining pie filling.
Cover the entire dish with foil and bake for 25-27 minutes.
When you're finished, you can top the dish with cream cheese and/or powdered sugar.
If you're not a huge fan of raspberries, feel free to get any other flavored pie filling to make this same dish.
