There’s nothing like a good recipe to serve a group that’s different from the basic cheese plate or sandwich rolls.
Amanda from Kevin & Amanda came up with just that when she shared the delicious recipe for hot ham and cheese party rolls!
The dish is far from basic, and once you see how easy it is to make it will instantly become your new go-to dish!
“They are seriously so good!” Amanda wrote on her blog post about the recipe. “I could eat them every single night. They’re perfect for sharing too -- like taking to friends, family, parties, or new moms -- because you can assemble everything the night before and bake them the next day.”
She started by gathering the short list of ingredients, which includes swiss cheese, canned pizza dough, deli meat ham, butter, brown sugar, worcestershire sauce, poppy seeds, and mustard.
The first thing she did was open the can of dough, unroll it, and flatten it out as much as possible.
On top of the dough went a layer or two of the sliced deli ham.
Over that Amanda put her third layer: swiss cheese.
When that was added, it was already time to roll it up!
Amanda started at one end and tightly wrapped it up into one long log.
Then, she took her knife and sliced the roll into about one inch pieces.
After that the individual rolls were placed straight into a greased casserole dish.
Amanda then set that aside and combined the rest of her ingredients into a sauce pan.
She simmered everything together until the butter was completely melted all all the ingredients were well combined.
Amanda continued to whisk the mixture until it became a smooth glaze.
Then, the last step in the preparation of her party rolls was spooning the yummy glaze over each roll.
Once that was done it was time for baking.
When the rolls come out of the oven about half an hour later, they look so tasty!
“The inside is soft, gooey, and cheesy,” Amanda wrote. “The outside is browned and crispy. Every bite is out of this world! You have to make these fabulous cheese and ham rolls. They will be the hit of the party!!”
