Who doesn’t love macaroni and cheese? If you don’t, there’s definitely something wrong with you -- or at least you just haven’t had the good stuff before.
Well this right here is the good stuff.
Shelly from Cookies & Cups shared her recipe for no boil Crock-Pot mac and cheese, and it’s both easy and delicious!
“No boil Crock-Pot slow cooker mac and cheese is so creamy and packed with flavor… perfect for everyday dinners, entertaining, or a game day dish,” Shelly wrote on her blog post about the recipe.
Aside from the fact that this recipe takes a few hours less than your average slow cooker dinner, the best part is that you don’t even have to boil the pasta in advance!
“My idea was to develop a recipe that you could throw all your ingredients in the Crock-Pot slow cooker, turn it on and walk away,” Shelly wrote.
To make it, she started by dumping the dry pasta into the bottom of the slow cooker with cubes of butter sprinkled on top.
Then, she added a bunch of cheese because, duh, it’s macaroni and cheese!
“I like to use sharp cheddar and Monterey Jack, but please feel free to adapt this and play around with cheese you like best,” Shelly wrote on her post. “The only non-negotiable her is using Velveeta.”
(Because it makes mac and cheese extra creamy, of course.)
After tossing in the cheeses, Shelly added in some milk and seasonings to give it even more flavor and to help the pasta cook.
The only step after that was to stir it all up, put the lid on, and let it all cook!
Two hours later, it was ready to eat!
“Also, you will need to stir the mac and cheese halfway through cooking to make sure that all the pasta is in the liquid, and non is stuck on top dry,” Shelly wrote.
The result is so delicious. It’s the only mac and cheese you’ll want to make for the rest of time!
