You’re actually going to want to stay in for breakfast this weekend so that you can try this new recipe on your family!

Reeni from Cinnamon Spice & Everything Nice shared her super fun way of making a breakfast classic: french toast.

Of course, no good breakfast is complete without a side of delicious sausage.

However, this time she combined the side with the entree and made adorable and yummy french toast breakfast sausage roll-ups!

“Because wrapping french toast around sausage makes an everyday food special and a whole lot more fun to eat,” Reeni wrote on her post about the recipe. “Especially for kids who love using their hands -- these were made for dunking.”

To make the roll-ups, Reeni gathered the breakfast sausage and all the other usual french toast ingredients: bread, egg, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla.

Reeni chose to use fluffy white bread to make hers, and the first thing she did was cut off all the crust and flatten the slices with her hands as much as possible.

“I prefer using my hands because they stay a little fluffy and are better at soaking up the egg,” Reeni wrote.

At this time Reeni also pre-cooked her sausages and mixed the batter of ingredients for her french toast egg wash.

When the bread was flat and ready to go, she took the links one at a time and wrapped the bread around them.

Once she had prepped all of the rolls, Reeni dipped the bread-wrapped sausages into the egg mixture just as you would with regular french toast.

Then, she fried them up on the stove in butter until the bread was a beautiful shade of golden brown!

“Then you get to stand back and watch as your family happily devours them and looks at you like you did something miraculous,” Reeni wrote.

Of course, she didn’t forget to add the side of maple syrup for dunking!
