It’s been more than two decades since we watched Alfalfa try to win Darla’s heart in The Little Rascals, but we haven’t forgotten those adorable little lovebirds.
Bug Hall and Brittany Ashton Holmes were just 9 and 5 years old, respectively, when they took on their iconic roles in the 1994 classic children’s movie.
Now that it’s been nearly 22 since The Little Rascals first hit theaters, where are the two main stars now?
Sadly, Alfalfa and Darla didn’t actually fall in love, get married, and live happily ever after, like we all hoped growing up.
In fact, one of them doesn’t even act anymore!
Now 31, Hall has continued to act, making appearances in a number of TV shows over the years, including Castle, Masters of Sex, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Criminal Minds, and many more.
These days, it looks like Hall is focusing on a career in screenwriting and teaching.
"I've pitched in with some friends who have classes and I'll come in and talk to the kids. I don't really believe in acting classes; I never took any. I like to talk to the kids while they're still young about what to expect and how to make better choices than some people tend to make. Some call it being an acting teacher, but I like to help out the young ones," he told inspiredlately.com last year.
Meanwhile, Holmes, now 26, has left Hollywood altogether, instead choosing to pursue a degree in political science.
Aside from a few Baby Guess ads in the 90s, Holmes no longer enjoyed acting after making The Little Rascals.
But believe it or not, adorable Darla is now married and living in Los Angeles with her new husband!
